Non-Fiction Monday: Our White House

I really think this book is perfect for our current societal status, being in the midst of an election year and all...not to mention brilliant! Love it!

Our White House: Looking In, Looking Out, created by 108 reneowned authors and illustrators, takes such a new and unique look at past presidents and White House inhabitants that I really think kids will have a blast reading this. Essays and perspectives on White House living are taken from past children and pets of presidents, slave accounts, an imagined conversation between John and Abigail Adams, ans so much more. Authors include Steven Kellogg, Jane Yolen, Jean Craighead George, Walter Dean Myers, and Susan Cooper. There are so many more wonderful contributors, as well as some great illustrations, seriously, this is a must-have.

Schools, libraries, and home shelves need this book! Our White House is a fun read, filled with historical fiction, essays, and actual accounts of those having lived in the White House. I will rave about it for years to come and very much encourage all of you to purchase it. Love it!
