It's Cybils Finalist Day!

As a panelist for the Young Adult fiction genre this year, I can personally attest to just how hard the panelists work to come up with the top 5-7 books of the entire year in their category. Well over a hundred books were nominated for YA and there were so many good ones, the task almost seemed impossible. After an incredibly lively discussion, we finally settled on the final 7 and now, it's up to the judges to decide the best of the year. Boy to I feel sorry for them!

Here are our final 7 YA books:

Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway

The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart

I Know It's Over by C.K. Kelly Martin

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

Sweethearts by Sara Zarr

Ten Cents a Dance by Christine Fletcher

Thaw by Monica Roe

It was so difficult to narrow it down, but we're very satisfied with our choices! The finalists for all of the other categories can be found at the Cybils blog or through the following links:

Fantasy & Science Fiction
